Two new two – euro coins put into circulation between this February and next. There are two designs made in Andorra to commemorate the 25th anniversary of its Constitution and in each of the coins, a total of 85,000 units will be issued. The first of them will have references to the national anthem of the Principality, while the second currency circulation set ‘will honor’ positioning of the Andorran state and country in the Pyrenees.

Specifically, according to La Vanguardia, the two-euro coins will be distributed first will, on the one hand, musical notes of The Great Carlemany (national anthem of the Principality of Andorra) and commemorating the adoption of the song as anthem of the country.

The other design has the logo of the Principality next to the slogan “Andorra – the country of the Pyrenees” (Andorra- the country of the Pyrenees). Yes, in both currencies (both February and March) will issue as year 2017.

OTHER CURRENCY IN MARCH

Also, weeks after this issue, and before March 14, as recorded by the Catalan newspaper, it will be circulated third design, in this case commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Andorran Constitution. It also will be two euros, although this will be issued 10,000 units less.

It shows the Monument als homes ia les Dones d’Andorra (Monument to the men and women of Andorra), a work located in Plaza del General Council of the capital made by Emili Armengol. And this was raised by the referendum of March 14, 1993, after which the Principality became a constitutional state. In the currency, also called Andorra and the silhouette of the country will appear next to its motto (Virtus Unita Fortior, or what is the same, “Power is stronger”).

It is recalled that six and a half years ago, after a monetary agreement with the European Union (EU), the Principality of Andorra has the right to issue certain amount of euro coins each year.
